Pickles Auctions, is an Australian company specialising in auctions and valuations.[1][2] It is the largest auto and equipment auctioneer in the country with over 150 auctions conducted every month.[3]

History
Pickles Auctions Pty Limited was founded in 1964 as a Stock and Station agent in Moree, NSW.[5] With 20 branches nationally,[6][7] including every State and Territory in the country [8][9] The company's head office is now located in Sydney, Australia. In the 2013 - 2014 financial year, over 220,000 motor vehicles and trucks were sold with a gross group turnover in excess of 1.8 billion dollars. The company employs more than 700 people throughout Australia.
Its major clients include the Australian government,[10] state governments,[11] local councils, fleet and lease companies, insurance companies, financial institutions, banks, and not-for-profit organizations. Pickles is a member of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia.[12]
In 2014, Pickles bought a 10 per cent stake in Tiger Asset Group.[13][14]
Innovation
Pickles Auctions have implemented various innovative technologies to reach wider Australia and provide flexibility for their customers. In 2004, the Pickles Live bidding system was introduced allowing buyers to participate in physical auctions in real-time online anywhere in Australia. In late August 2008, the company launched a new channel, Pickles Online, for auctions conducted completely online.[5]
