Pingboard, is an employee directory and org chart software for growing companies. Pingboard raised $2.2 million in seed funding[1] from Silverton Partners.[2] The software is designed to solve problems that growing companies tend to have such as getting up to date contact information for employees, helping employees put a face to a name, knowing who’s out of the office, and storing data on employees.[3] Company information is housed in one directory that can be updated by the employees themselves or the administrators. It can also be shared or kept private.

Company overview

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Pingboard is a privately held company created by a team of engineers. The company emerged from Capital Thought, a venture by serial entrepreneurs Joshua Baer, Jason Cohen, and Bill Boebel.[4] Pingboard was designed to gather, store, and access all employee information across multiple categories in one place, keeping employee records up to date, and making them easy to share.

Company history

Pingboard was founded in 2013 by Bill Boebel and Rob Eanes, and has grown to 12 employees. Boebel, who was the director of the Austin, TX based incubator Capital Factory, developed the software to manage member's internal information. Pingboard describes the product as software that helps companies “Grow together, not apart”. Boebel previously founded Webmail.us, a Virginia-based company acquired in 2007 by San-Antonio-base Rackspace (NYSE: RAX).
