The plains rat, or plains mouse, or eastern mouse, or palyoora (Pseudomys australis), is a threatened rodent species native to inland Australia.[1]
Captivity
Plains rats can be kept in captivity in New South Wales by purchasing a licence from the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
