Plastic Toys were an English electronic rock band, formed in late 2003 based in Southampton, UK. The four piece group are made up of Jon Plastic (vocals/guitars)(real name Jon Tufnell), Alex Howe (bass), Si Jackson (guitars) and Ben Coley (drums). The band's debut single, "Let Me Feel The Love", was released in July 2007 by Pinnacle Distribution, and went straight into the UK Indie Chart at number 30. Their debut album, For Tonight Only was released on 4 February 2008. It went on to be given glowing reviews by Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, and many other smaller magazines.
The band have become well known for their electrifying and energetic live stage shows and their use of technology, particularly the use of social networking websites, vodcasts, video gaming, instant messaging and next-generation internet music websites to reach out to their audience.
Career
Formed from the remains of a UK metal group Karmic Jera, and electro-glam rockers DNA Doll, Plastic Toys won ITV’s unsigned band competition by a landslide and were voted into the top 5 unsigned bands by Kerrang! They held the Number 1 spot on BBC Radio 1's “One Music” chart for eight weeks.
They played at Germany’s PopKomm festival, Canadian Music Week and as support to Shiny Toy Guns.

Described as "marking the moment electro pop became stadium rock with throbbing synths and beats, a hook that Marc Bolan would be proud of and massive, fuzzy guitar riffs.". Entirely self-funded, self-recorded and self-produced, "Let Me Feel The Love" was mixed by Andy Gray, the co-writer of the Channel 4 Big Brother theme tune and mastered in Los Angeles by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, My Chemical Romance). The single was available at high-street stores HMV, Apple iTunes and Amazon.
