Precision Dynamics Corporation is a US international wristbands manufacturer headquartered in Valencia, California. The company provides auto identification solutions for healthcare, law enforcement and leisure & entertainment markets.[1]

History

Precision Dynamics Corporation was co-founded in 1956 by Dr. Walter W. Mosher, a student in engineering at UCLA who developed the first single-piece wristband for hospitals which did not require any parts or tools.[2]

In 2006-2007, the company introduced the first patient Bar Code ID wristband, patented Smart Band Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) wristbands, the AgeBand ID verification system, and PDC Smart Kiosk Cashless RFID system.[3][4]

In November 2008, Precision Dynamics Corporation acquired TimeMed Labeling Systems, Inc., a U.S. producer of specialty healthcare labels[5]

In May 2010, PDC was awarded the coveted ISO 9001:2008 certification for following high quality standards in their services and products.[6]

In June 2010, Precision Dynamics released Securline Bar Code Blood Band, an identification wristband system that automatically identifies a patient for blood transfusion, specimen collection, and tracking.[7]

Today, PDC is one of the leading wristband manufacturers with facilities and offices in Mexico, in the USA and in the EU.
