Preludio a Colón
Preludio a Colón (Prelude to Christopher Columbus), for soprano, string quartet, flute, quarter-tone guitar, and sixteenth-tone harp, is a piece by Julián Carrillo. The title is indicative of Carrillo's "Sonido 13" [thirteenth sound] revolution.
It was recorded on Columbia Records in 1933 by Ángel Reyes, principal violinist of the Thirteenth Sound Group of Havana.
