Princess Margarita of Leiningen[1][2] (Full German name: Margarita Ileana Viktoria Alexandra Prinzessin zu Leiningen[1][2]) (born 9 May 1932 in Coburg, Bavaria, Germany;[1][2] committed suicide[3] on 16 June 1996 in Überlingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany[1][2]) was a Princess of Leiningen by birth and the Princess of Hohenzollern by marriage. Margarita was the fourth child and second-eldest daughter[1][2] of Karl, 6th Prince of Leiningen and his wife Grand Duchess Maria Kirillovna of Russia.[1][2] Margarita was the Princess consort of Hohenzollern 6 February 1965 – 16 June 1996.
Marriage and issue
Margarita married Frederick William, Hereditary Prince of Hohenzollern (later Frederick William, Prince of Hohenzollern), eldest son of Frederick, Prince of Hohenzollern and his wife Princess Margarete Karola of Saxony, civilly in Sigmaringen on 5 January 1951 and religiously in Amorbach on 3 February 1951.[1][2] Margarita and Frederick William had three sons:[1][2]

- Prince Albrecht Johannes of Hohenzollern (born 3 Aug 1954)
- Prince Ferdinand of Hohenzollern (born 14 Feb 1960)
