Pyrausta dapalis is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Grote in 1881.[1] It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from California[2] and Oregon.[3]

The length of the forewings is 7-9.5 mm. The forewings are brownish with a dusky grey median area. The hindwings are yellow, shaded with red and with a red discal spot.[4] Adults have been recorded on wing from early January to March.

The larvae have been reared on various Salvia species.[5]
