QED International is an American-based film production studio, financier and international distributor, best known for financing and producing 2014 films Sabotage and Fury.
History
Bill Block formed QED in 2002 as CEO. In May 2012, Media Content Capital, an Anton Lessine and Sasha Shapiro global media fund, gained a controlling interest in QED through QED Holdings with an eight figure investment.[1][2]
Before 2013, Paul Hanson, as COO, was involved in all aspects of the company overseeing film financing, production, and distribution.[3]
On February 24, 2015, Deadline confirmed that CEO Bill Block had officially left the post from the company to join a new company Merced Media.[4][5] This allowed Lessine and Shapiro to operate QED International under QED Holdings as its principal financiers through the global media fund, Media Content Capital (McC).[6][7][8][9]
