Raffi Barsoumian
Raffi Barsoumian (* in Beirut, Lebanon) is an American-Armenian actor.
Life
Barsoumians parents were born in the Armenian quarter in Beirut in Lebanon and grew up there. Raffi Barsoumian also was born in Beirut. At the age of only one year, the family moved due to the ongoing conflicts in the civil war in Lebanon to Los Angeles in California. At home the family spoke mostly Armenian and lived the culture and customs of the Armenian people from. Despite this proximity to its origin, he was so far only once in 2005 in Armenia and visited with friends, the capital of Yerevan, while he studied at the Moscow Art Theater School in Moscow for a year. Barsoumian became interested in early childhood for the spectacle. At high school, he first studied acting. He attended the 2006 Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the theater group, from 2009 the Globe Theatre International Fellowship in London. Then he studied at the Jacques Lecoq School in Paris. To date, Barsoumian is fluent in French.
