Rai Foundation

The Rai Foundation Group is an educational initiative founded in India in 2002. The foundation's stated intent is to improve the quality of education at all educational levels. The foundation opened Rai University, in 2012, to advance its educational mission.

The Rai Foundation was started in the 2002. The Foundation endeavors to improve the quality of education at all levels of education, especially the college-level.

Since its founding, the Rai Foundation Group has created several initiatives in the field of education. For instance, it offers free scholarships (including free lodging and boarding) for underprivileged girls to pursue bachelor's and master's degrees. It purports to be the philanthropic non-profit body. It was set up with the objective to address various sociocultural concerns of India and its people. To this end, the foundation funded the development and initiation of Rai University.Rai University is in Ahmadabad Gujarat.

The Rai Foundation was one of the first private organizations in India to start its own university. Rai University set up in Ahmedabad offers over hundreds of courses in Engineering, Science & Technology, Management, Humanities, and Commerce.. Rai University was award by ASSOCHAM as the best private upcoming university in India.[1]

Although it is a private university, it was established by state legislature (under the 2012 State of Gujarat "Act No. 12").[2] Rai University facilities feature a library, a well equipped laboratory, and a conference club; as well as recreational activity venues for students.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Rai University in association with ALL Ladies League honored sixteen outstanding women from grass roots level with Grassroots Gujarat Women of the Decade Achievers Awards. State Revenue Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel was the chief guest at the event.[3]
