Rajiv Mehrishi (born 8 August 1955) is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of 1978 batch belonging to Rajasthan cadre. He is married to Mira (nee Sahni) also an officer of the IAS, now retired and is the brother-in-law of Lt. General Anoop Malhotra. He has been appointed Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs and former Finance Secretary, Ministry of Finance of Government of India.[1][2] Prior to his appointment to the Ministry of Finance, he was the Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan.
Rajiv Mehrishi holds a degree in business administration from Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow. His earlier degrees were from the St. Stephen's College, Delhi.[3]
