Ramdia is a village in Kamrup rural district, near Hajo town, situated in north bank of river Brahmaputra 30 km from the city Guwahati. There are several Satras in Ramdia and each of them are rich in Vaishnava Culture. Bihu, Bhotheli and Rash-mela are the main festivals of Ramdia. Bhotheli is celebrated every year on 6th and 7th of the Indian month Vaisakha. In Bhotheli, the idols from 12 Satras of ramdia are gathered together and at the same time a fair is held by gathering of thousands of people. Assamese is the local language of Ramdia. Education is quite good here. Farming, Local Businesses, Govt Service are the main profession of the people of Ramdia.[1]
