The road terminates at Hueco Tanks State Historic Site where the road becomes Park Road 68 upon entering the park.
History
The route number was originally assigned in 1962 to Farm to Market Road 2775, a 3.6-mile (5.8 km) former road in Kleberg County extending northwest of RM 628 near Loyola Beach.[1] That road became an extension of FM 772 in 1966.[2]
The current route was established in 1967.[1] In 1974, the continuation of the road within the state park, previously without designation, was named Park Road 68.[3]
