Reza Soukhteh Saraei (Persian: رضا سوختهسرایی, born January 31, 1950 in Aliabad-e Katul) is a famous Iranian super heavyweight wrestler. Soukhteh Saraei was famous for competing in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was threetimes flag bearer and gold medalist at the 1982, 1986 and 1990 Asian Games. He is the second most successful Iranian athlete at the Asian Games with 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal after Eskandar Filabi with 4 gold medals at Asian Games. He was twice finalist at the world championship1978 and 1981 Skopje where he lost against the famous Soviets Soslan Andiev and Salman Khasimikov respectively. One of the highlights of his career was at the Asian Games 1986 where he competed in Greco-Roman category and won gold medal in order to let Alireza Soleimani to compete in freestyle category who also won gold medal.
