Rie Tanaka (田中 理恵, born June 11, 1987) is a Japanese retired artistic gymnast.[1] Her brothers are Kazuhito Tanaka and Yusuke Tanaka, London Olympics silver medalists.
Tanaka was awarded the Longines Prize of Elegance at the 2010 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. At the 2012 Summer Olympics she competed for the Japanese national team which finished eighth in the Women's artistic team all-around.[2] She also took part in the individual all-around, where she finished 16th.[3]
