RingMeMaybe is a disposable phone number app allowing users to create temporary phone numbers which expire in a week.[1][2][3] The app is designed to solve the privacy issues in person-to-crowd mobile and person-to-person engagement.[4] RingMeMaybe is a trademark of yourVirtualSIM Inc., headquartered in San Francisco, California.[5]

History

RingMeMaybe is developed by Alex Botteri and Ferréol de Soras, co-founders of yourVirtualSIM Inc. The app was launched on 13 May 2013.

Features

The app generates temporary US phone numbers which expire after 7 days by default. If users need any number for longer than a week, they can renew it each week indefinitely. RingMeMaybe allows users to manage multiple phone lines and use services including SMS texting, wifi calling to landlines and cell phones, and visual voicemail.[6]
