Robert Hammerstiel
Robert Hammerstiel (born 18 February 1933 in Vršac, Kingdom of Yugoslavia)[1] is an Austrian painter and engraver. Hammerstiel is internationally recognized through numerous awards. He is also a Honorary member of the Vojvodinian Academy of Sciences and Art.[2] He is the author of "Von Ikonen und Ratten: Eine Banater Kindheit 1939 - 1949. With 32 woodcuts. Brandstaetter: Vienna, 1999; und illustrater of several books including "Des Bischofs Kleid" by Luisa Owens (2013).
