Robert J. Sexton
Robert J. Sexton is an American director, producer, writer,[1] and former musician, best known for his work on music videos and with virtual reality.[2] [3] He has won three Emmy awards for his work as a producer[4] and has been recognized by critics worldwide for his work as a director. He was also the bass player for the band Genöcide.[5]
Sexton is best known for his work as a VR (virtual reality) director.[6] One of his videos for Incite, which premiered on the Wall Street Journal,[7] is the first ever narrative-driven heavy metal virtual reality video.[8][9] In his career, he has directed many music videos for bands including Soulfly for Unleash (song), The Devil Wears Prada (band)[10] for "Sailor's Prayer",[11] Cavalera Conspiracy for "Killing Inside",[12] and The Hangmen.[13] He has spoken at San Diego Comic-Con[14][15] and other events on the subjects of horror, music videos, and virtual reality.
