Rolf Knierim
Rolf Paul Knierim (born July 8, 1928 in Pirmasens, Germany) is an Old Testament scholar. He is Professor of Old Testament Emeritus at the Claremont School of Theology and Avery Professor of Religion Emeritus at Claremont Graduate University.[1]
Knierim studied at the University of Heidelberg under Gerhard von Rad.[2] In 1996, a Festschrift was published in his honor. Problems in Biblical Theology: Essays in Honor of Rolf Knierim (ISBN 0-8028-3803-0) included contributions from scholars such as Klaus Koch, Wolfhart Pannenberg, Rolf Rendtorff, James A. Sanders, and Claus Westermann.
