She has been titled one of the “Top 20 Most Influential Women”,[2] and has had Christian Louboutin design and name one of his very own red-soled shoes after her.[3] Manji has been featured on magazines including Harpers Bazaar and Flair Magazine, and has dealt with top brands including Tom Ford, Juicy Couture, Burberry and Gucci.[4]

Career

Approached by Tom Ford himself, Rosemin Manji learned from the best from the very beginning: “I learned more with Tom Ford than I did in university: managing people, the design process, brand management, and business. The people I worked with went on to become some of the best designers in the world: Clare Waight Keller, Stefano Pilati, Frida Giannini, Alessandra Facchinietti, Christpher Bailey”, claims Manji. She then was appointed as the European PR Director at Juicy Couture, setting up the first office and showroom outside America, and responsible for remaking the image of the brand beyond tracksuits, she worked closely with high-end magazines and dressed well known personalities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Moss, Madonna, Kate Winslet, Queen Rania of Jordan and Sienna Miller. Manji moved to Dubai in 2007, where she started her own multi-brand showroom representing Givenchy, Tom Ford and Christian Louboutin, offering a plethora of services including styling, brand advisory and niche events. She also worked directly with Hermes, Prada, Chanel and Roger Vivier on special projects.[5]

Rosemin Manji, the Fashion Guru at Desi Beauty Blog, is also a well-known face on TV as the Presenter for Dubai TV in a weekly segment called Studio One every Thursday, a feat that shortlisted her as the Best TV Presenter and Face of the UAE. Her unique fashion style has inspired top brands including Christian Louboutin, Amanda Navai and Bionda Castana to design and name their shoes and purses after her, and she has been recognized amongst the Best Dressed by Harpers Bazaar, Mondanite, Pashion, Flair Magazine, Ahlan and the Masala Magazine.

Early life

As a teenager, Rosemin Manji built her career by working part-time at Club Monaco and Holt Renfrew. She then earned her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Management at the London College of Fashion with a major in Luxury Goods and Marketing while interning at Sotheby’s, as well as the Gucci Press Office. After graduating, she was approached by designer Tom Ford and went forth to becoming one of the most well known fashion staples in the industry.[6]

Philanthropy

Rosemin is an active committee member in “Bras for Cause”,[7] a charitable organization that helps create the awareness of breast cancer amongst young women, something that she is very vocal about as her mother battled the disease 25 years a go. Her philanthropic actions have even garnered attention from the International GR8T Woman Awards in 2012,[8] and she has been assigned as the Ambassador for Pond’s for Women Empowerment.
