Rush to the Dead Summer (Chinese: 夏至未至) is an upcoming television drama based on Guo Jingming's novel of the same name, starring Zheng Shuang, Chen Xuedong and Bai Jingting.
Plot
When Li Xia and her best friend Cheng Qi Qi enrolls into Qian Chuan secondary school, they meet the legendary Fu Xiao Si and Lu Zhi Ang. Together, the group of youth officially begin their beautiful high school life. After graduation, the group of friends part company with everyone going their separate ways. Xiao Si becomes a well-known artist, Li Xia becomes Xiao Si's assistant and other half, Qi Qi won a singing competition and becomes a famous idol, Yu Jian heads overseas to realize her dreams of becoming a singer; everyone is still fighting for their dreams.
However, with the onslaught of adversities: the death of Xiao Si's mother, Li Xia's departure, imprisonment of Zhi Ang, Qi Qi's betrayal, Yu Jian's loss; the warm and bright summer starts to fade away. Everyone is changing and they become doubtful about the origin of their friendship. A span of ten years make them realize that other than memories, nothing can be eternal, but they learnt to love and grow.

Production
Guo Jingming would also be serving as the screenwriter, executive producer and artistic director of the production. This is also the fourth collaboration between Guo and lead actor Chen Xuedong after Tiny Times, YES! MR FASHION and L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties. The series is helmed by Korean director Chen Mingzhang, who directed the Taiwanese hit drama Fated to Love You.
