Ruxox Cell
Ruxox Cell was an Augustinian monk's cell in Bedfordshire, England. It was documented in 1189 and 1290, and was used as a retreat by resigned priors of Dunstable Priory.[1]
An excavation was done in 1959, and the interim report is held at Bedfordshire Record Office.[2] The Ruxox site was once a Roman settlement and temple before it became an Augustinian cell. The area also has Ancient Briton artifacts from before Roman times.
