Ryan James Clark (born 9 April 1983) is a former Australian child/teen television actor.
Biography
Born in Paddington, Clark was raised in the Sydney beachside suburb of Bronte, where he still lives.[2]
Acting career
Clark is best known for his role as Sam Marshall in the Seven Network soap opera Home and Away. In 1991, Clark joined the cast of Home and Away as Sam Marshall when he was eight years old. He departed the show in 2001, but returned for two guest appearances in 2002 and 2005.[3] He appeared as an Australian surfer in the Olsen Twins film Our Lips Are Sealed (2000). In 2008, he played a minor role in the Australian film The Black Balloon.
Present
Since 2004 Clark has been a working as a full-time seasonal lifeguard with Waverley Council. He can be seen on Network Ten show Bondi Rescue, a factual television series about the council lifeguards who patrol Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte Beaches.[4] In the show he is better known by his nickname "Whippet".[5]
