Prof S.P. Singh Baghel is a former lok sabha member and rajya sabha member but now has lost his most of ground by losing 3 consecutive lok sabha elections he was elected in lok sabha when he was in samjwadi party after completing 3 terms in loksabha from samjwadi party he was suspended from party then he joined bsp from which he contested 2 lok sabha elections but lost both of them but was given a chance in rajya sabha in 2014 he joined but lost again Bhartiya Janta Party.[1] On 3July 2015, S.P. Singh Baghel was made President of BJP OBC Morcha.[2][3][4]
S.P. Singh Baghel started his journey as a BJP OBC Morcha President from Sikandrarao where National President of B.J.P. Amit Shah was invited as chief guest, who reminded the huge crowd about the Great Holkars and Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar. It is a well known fact that The Holkars were the largest Rulers of Indian state (independent) after the Scindia of Gwalior. The Govt. of India gives the title of Upmaharajpramukh to the throne of Holkars.
