SC Borussia Lindenthal-Hohenlind is a German association football club based in the Lindenthal-Hohenlind district of Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia.
History
The club was founded in 1928 as SC Borussia Hohenlind around an interest in handball and football. The original sports club had only a short five-year existence before it was dissolved in 1933. A new group resurrected the old name in 1959 and the club underwent some form of re-organization into a larger association in 1962. In 1986, the club changed its name to SC Borussia Lindenthal-Hohenlind to acknowledge growing links to a neighbouring district.
The history of the club consists largely of play in the local Kreisklasse leagues, a steady focus on its youth sides, and the promotion of sports opportunities for the handicapped. The football side is strictly local amateur in character with the number one men's side currently playing in the Bezirksliga Mittelrhein 1. In 2008 not only the first and third men's team but also the A-, B- and C-Youth teams were all promoted to the next division.
