SEGi University 世纪大学 (commonly referred to as SEGi) is a private university in Kota Damansara, Selangor. SEGi is one of the largest private higher education provider in Malaysia.[4] Previously, it was known as SEGi University College until end of 2014, when the Ministry of Education announced its upgrade to university status. SEGi has a total of 5 campuses, which also includes UEP Subang Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Sarawak. Programmes at SEGi include Business, Computing, Engineering and Health Sciences, from certificate to postgraduate levels. SEGi also offers programmes affiliated with Abertay University, University of Sunderland, University of St Mark and St John, York St John University, University of Greenwich, all from the United Kingdom, University of Southern Queensland, Australia and Troy University in the United States. This university is famously known for winning the acclaimed Putra Brand Award in year 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.[5]

History

SEGi University, founded in 1977 as Systematic College, is located in Kota Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia.[6] In year 2014, it was granted University status.

Flagship Campus

SEGi College Penang Campus

The flagship campus is SEGi University Kota Damansara, and is the largest amongst the 5 campuses. It is a popular destination for its Health Sciences programmes (Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry and Optometry) and also Engineering.

Other Campuses

SEGi College Subang Jaya

This campus began its operation in 2006. Located at the "college belt" of the nation, the campus is well known for its Early Care and Childhood Education programmes and also its postgraduate programmes. It is located beside the The Summit Shopping Centre, da:men Lifestyle Mall, Giant Hypermarket, Mydin Wholesale Hypermarket and it is about 10 minutes away from the USJ 7 LRT station.

SEGi College Kuala Lumpur

Since its operations in 1977, this campus is well known for its Business programmes. Currently, it offers a wide range of programmes from foundation to master's degree levels.

SEGi College Penang

SEGi College Penang serves as SEGi's education hub to students in the northern region of Malaysia. The campus is located in the city of George Town, Penang. The campus offers a wide range of programmes, ranging from the American Degree Program to Hospitality and Tourism.

SEGi College Sarawak

The only SEGi campus in East Malaysia. Programmes that are well sought-after include the University of London external Law programme.
