Tommy Dash,[1] better known by his stage name SKisM,[2] is a British electronic music producer from London, England.[3] Formerly known as DJ Dash, Tom was one half of breakbeat duo CTRL-Z, with DJ Inch (Nicky D'Silva, who now performs as Pyramid). The two met whilst studying Creative Music Production & Business on CM.[4] He started performing and producing dubstep as SKisM in 2009.[3][5] He has produced multiple songs and remixes, collaborating with the likes of Flux Pavilion, Excision, Foreign Beggars, Zomboy, Porter Robinson and Hadouken!. His productions have amassed over 14 million views on YouTube.[6]
SKisM is one of the co-founders of Never Say Die Records (as well as its sister label Black Label). Also its A&R, he has managed many of the label's artist. These artists include Zomboy, Far Too Loud, Eptic, BAR9, LAXX and MUST DIE!.[7]
He has performed at festivals such as Amsterdam Bass Festival,[8] and as of 2014, he was headlining the Rage By The Pound tour.[2]
Musical style
SKisM produces various style of bass music. Although best known for producing dubstep,[3] he has also produced drum and bass, drumstep, Brostep, glitch hop, moombahcore, and trap music.[9]
