Sacks & Co. is a public relations, marketing, management and consulting firm.

Public relations

Founded in 1994, Sacks & Co. manages the public image of major and debuting artists—musicians, authors, comedians, actors and filmmakers, among others—as well as record labels, television & film producers, theater companies, and arts presenters.

Sacks & Co.’s roster of current and past musicians spans all genres from pop, rock, dance, jazz and classical to world, country and Latin, including Björk, Rufus Wainwright, Alison Krauss, Mark Knopfler, Herbie Hancock, Philip Glass, David Byrne, Lyle Lovett, Queen Latifah, John Mayer, Magnetic Fields, Edie Brickell, Natalie Merchant, Buena Vista Social Club, Emmylou Harris, Caetano Veloso, Glenn Gould, Rosanne Cash, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Damien Rice, David Gray, Cheikh Lô, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Oumou Sangare, Dolly Parton, Ry Cooder, Daniel Lanois, and John Hiatt.

Sacks & Co.’s films have premiered at the Sundance, Berlin, SXSW, Slamdance and Tribeca film festivals, among others. Their Sundance entries include multiple award winner Old Joy, Strange Culture, Adrift in Manhattan, Perro Come Perro, Goliath, Wild Tigers I Have Known and We Are the Strange. Among the SXSW films they have represented are festival winner Live Free or Die, The Matador, The Marconi Bros., The Amazing Truth About Queen Raquela, Silver Jew and Audience of One. Sacks & Co. also handled national release campaigns for Old Joy, Mutual Appreciation and Strange Culture. Other film clients include Slamdance entries Things to Do and Dear Zachary, Tribeca Film Festival entry Take, Los Angeles Film Festival winner Gretchen and documentary filmmaker Albert Maysles.

Among the arts presenters and venues Sacks & Co. represent are Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series, New York City’s Symphony Space; Arts at St. Ann’s in Brooklyn, the University of Illinois’ Krannert Center for Performing Arts and NYU’s Jack H. Skirball Center.

Sacks & Co.'s television clients include PBS concert programs and Voom HD Networks (Cablevision) featuring the Rave Music Channel. Rave programs 24 hours of music television with several hours of original content.

Strategic marketing

Sacks & Co.’s strategic marketing team provides digital media marketing campaigns, sponsor partnerships, and event production.

Licensing

Sacks & Co. works with music supervisors, publishers and advertising agencies to secure possibilities for their clients. They also contribute to music supervision, clearance and deal negotiations. They have a staff presence at all major independent film festivals.

Management and consulting

Sacks & Co. manages a small roster of artists including Edie Brickell.[1]
