History

Working with co-founder Ian White, Capel funded the company through its first year out of his own pocket.[2] In 2010, he sought and obtained $1 million in seed funding.[3] A year later, Series A investors provided the company with $8 million in additional funding.[3] The Series B funding round in 2013 raised $19 million, with Bill Gurley, Benchmark joining core investors AOL Ventures, RRE Ventures and DFJ Gotham Ventures.[3] The Series C funding round in late 2013 raised $20M with Rob Theis, Scale Venture Partners and existing investors participating. The company will expand its production development, account management and marketing staff as well as infrastructure to expand into Fortune 500 companies.[10]

In 2013 Sailthru opened an office in San Francisco, CA.[10]
