Saint Joseph Hospital is a hospital in the City Park West neighborhood of Denver.
History
The hospital was Founded in 1873 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas.[1] By early 1875, the hospital was moved to 22nd and Blake at the former Pacific House hotel, where they paid $80 a month in rent. Very few of their patients could accord to pay. Dr. Augustus L. Justice and Dr. Frederick J. Bancroft became the first physicians on the staff of what was called the St. Vincents Hospital. In 1876 the hospital was named St. Joseph Hospital.[2]
