Samson Rowlie

Samson Rowlie was Chief Eunuch and Treasurer of Algiers during Ottoman rule. Born in Norfolk, England, he was imprisoned and castrated by the Ottomans in 1577.[1] He forcibly converted to Islam taking the name Hasan Aga.[2]
