Sea Breeze is a cosmetic skin care brand originally launched in 1906. The Original formula was initially sold as an antiseptic for minor cuts and scratches. Today, the line of products includes facial cleansers, astringents and moisturizers.[1]
Company Acquisitions
In 1979, the brand was purchased by Bristol-Myers Squibb. In 2003, the brand was sold to a division of Helen of Troy Limited, known as Idelle Labs, based out of Danbury, Connecticut.[1] After the purchase, the product was removed from retail stores and sold exclusively online. As of 2010, Wal-Mart stores carry the original formula exclusively,[1] while the Naturals and Actives line of products are available at Wal-Mart, as well as Rite Aid.
