Serapias neglecta, the scarce tongue-orchid,[3] is a species of orchid endemic to southern Europe.

Serapias neglecta was first described and published in Prospetto della flora ligustica e dei zoofiti del mare Ligustico 55. 1846. (NOTE: Tropicos has a transcription error in dating the publication as "1844"; however, IPNI attests to the date as being 1846.
