Henry Laufer, better known by his stage name Shlohmo, is an American electronic musician from Los Angeles, California.[1] He is a founding member of the Los Angeles electronic music collection WeDidIt.[2] He has collaborated with How to Dress Well and Björk.[3]
Career
Shlohmo released his debut album, Bad Vibes, on Friends of Friends in 2011.[4][5][6][7][8] His Vacation EP was released in 2012.[9] He released the Laid Out EP in 2013.[10][11][12][13][14][15]
After Shlohmo remixed Jeremih's "Fuck U All the Time" in 2012,[16] the two worked together in a track titled "Bo Peep (Do U Right)" which was part of Yours Truly and Adidas Originals' 2013 Songs from Scratch series.[17] A collaborative EP with Jeremih was released on WeDidIt and Def Jam Recordings in 2014.[18]
On February 13, 2014, Shlohmo and Jeremih released a new song off their forthcoming EP together. The track, "No More", was premiered by NPR and was released in time for Valentine's Day.[19]
On January 2, 2014, it was reported that rapper Bones was in talks to collaborate with Shlohmo,[20] and on March 6, 2015, it was announced on Shlohmo's Twitter that they would play a show together at The Fonda Theatre on May 7, 2015.[21]
