Shukri Mabkhout
Shukri Mabkhout (شكري المبخوت) (born 1962) is a Tunisian academic, critic and novelist. He was born in Tunis, and obtained a PhD in literature from the Arts College of Manouba. He has written several works of literary criticism and sits on the board of several literary journals. He is currently the president at Manouba University.
Mabkhout's debut novel The Italian won the Arabic Booker Prize in 2015.[1]
