Simaxis (Sardinian: Simaghis) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Oristano in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) northwest of Cagliari and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) northeast of Oristano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,205 and an area of 27.8 square kilometres (10.7 sq mi).[1]
Simaxis borders the following municipalities: Ollastra, Oristano, Siamanna, Siapiccia, Solarussa, Zerfaliu.
