Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) is a pro-life advocacy organisation in the United Kingdom which opposes abortion, assisted suicide and some forms of birth control. They also take a stance against same-sex marriage.[2][3]

Public statements

In 2008, it paid tribute to Cardinal Alfonso López Trujillo, president of the Pontifical Council for the Family, on the occasion of the cardinal's death.[4]

Tony Nicklinson right-to-die case

SPUC opposed locked-in syndrome sufferer Tony Nicklinson's legal battle for a right to assisted death.[5][6]

Marriage

SPUC opposes same-sex marriage.[2][7][8]
