Songs from Instant Star is the soundtrack for the first season of the television series Instant Star. The entire album is sung by Alexz Johnson, who portrays the show's protagonist Jude Harrison.
There are covers in the album: "Stupid Girl" was originally a single for the band Garbage in 1996. Additionally, "Temporary Insanity" would later be recorded as a single by the band The Weekend, whose members Andrea Wasse and Christopher Ward also worked on the rest of the Instant Star album.
- Other songs from the first season of Instant Star, not featured on the soundtrack include; a snippet of the song "Frozen" performed by Alexz in the show. Also the song "Shatter Me" performed by Alexz that can be heard in an episode, was never released but later leaked in full online.
