Soundproof (film)
Soundproof is a 2006 BBC television film in the drama genre, directed by Edmund Coulthard and written by Joe Fisher. The film score was composed by Mark Richter and Max Richter. It starred Joseph Mawle and Susan Lynch as a profoundly deaf man accused of murder and his sign-language interpreter. It was conducted partly in sign-language and subtitles. It won a 2007 BAFTA for best director, and was also nominated for an RTS Television Awards for Best Female Actor (for Lynch) and Breakthrough Award (for Mawle).
