SAIPA is a full member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA). SAIPA has reciprocal agreements with national and international bodies. Members of foreign bodies wishing to become a member of SAIPA and who wish to practice in South Africa have to meet the full membership requirements of SAIPA in all respects. A reciprocal membership agreement alone may not allow anyone to practice in South Africa until these requirements are met. (IAAER).[3] SAIPA members are eligible for membership of the Institute of Accounting and Commerce.[4]
