South Shelby High School
South Shelby High School is a school located in Shelbina, Missouri, United States. It is a part of the Shelby County R-IV School District.
It is home to the mascot, the Cardinals and the LadyBirds. Students between the grades of 9-12 attend this school in Northeast Missouri. The high school first opened it doors to students on November 23, 1966. The school was built anew on 4154 Highway 36 to be a central location between the two towns of Clarence and Shelbina. Originally, there were Shelbina High School and Clarence High School, but South Shelby was created for students to attend one high school instead of being divided by two. A middle school was later built in the 90's connecting to the high school combining middle schools. South Shelby's current Principal is Deacon Windsor and Superintendent is Tim Maddex. South Shelby is often referred to as SS for short.
