Spain was represented by Lucía at the Eurovision Song Contest 1982, held in Harrogate, United Kingdom. Lucía was selected internally by Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE), the Spanish broadcaster, to represent the country at the contest in England with the song "Él".
At Eurovision
Lucía performed 12th on the night of the contest, following Belgium and preceding Denmark. At the close of voting Lucía had received 52 points, placing 10th in a field of 18.
