Spicy Pickle
Spicy Pickle (OTC Pink: SPKL) is a Denver, Colorado based franchise of fast-casual restaurants, mainly serving panini, along with soups, salads and pizzetti, and pizza. Chefs Kevin Morrison and Tony Walker founded Spicy Pickle and opened the first location in 1999.
On Feb. 6, 2012, Spicy Pickle defaulted on 4.76 million dollars in loans and closed six of its seven company-owned stores.[1] Cibus acquired the company assets and franchise agreements in an auction on Feb. 22, 2012.[2]
As of July, 2016, three franchise locations remain: Reno, Nevada; Doha, Qatar; and Kuwait City. [3]
