Splashtop Inc. (previously named DeviceVM Inc.[1][2]) is a privately held software company founded in 2006 and headquartered in Silicon Valley with offices in Taiwan and China.
Splashtop Inc.'s (then DeviceVM Inc.) first product, named Splashtop OS, is an ‘instant-on’ Linux-based computing platform designed for fast, efficient computing. The company partners with OEMs and manufacturers to integrate its core technology into personal computers worldwide.[3]
Splashtop Inc. launched its Splashtop Remote product in August 2010. Splashtop Remote became the top selling iPad application in a number of countries.[4]
The firm has raised over $45M in venture capital from DFJ Dragon,[5] Sumitomo, Presidio Ventures,[6] WR Hambrecht Ventures,[7] Storm Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, and SAP AG.[8]
