Sreeja Chandran (ஸ்ரீஜா சந்திரன்) (Born 6 August 1986) is an Indian television actress who predominantly works in Malayalam and Tamil soap operas. She played the lead in STAR Vijay's serial Saravannan Meenatchi as Meenatchi which made her popular among the south Indian audience.[1][2]
Personal life
Sreeja was born in Kerala on 6 August 1986 to Bala Chandran and Shalaija Chandran. She completed her schooling in Tiruvalla, Pathanamthitta district. She has completed her graduate degree B.A. (History) under Calicut University at Kerala.
She and Saravanan Meenatchi co-star, RJ Senthil Kumar married on 2 July 2014.[1]
Career
Sreeja acted in several Malayalam Movies in a supporting role then shifted the focus to Malayalam Serial Industry.She is known for her roles in Nirmalyam, Ammathamburatty,Pakalmazha . She Portrayed the role of Lakshmi devi back to back in 2-3 serials. Sreeja First entry in Tamil Serial Madurai in Vijay TV at the age of 20. She also acted in Serials like Manikoondu, Meera (Tamil series) (Vijay TV), Mundhanai Mudichi (Sun TV), Nila and finally acted in Saravanan Meenatchi telecasted successfully from 12 September 2011 to 18 October 2013.She was well accepted by Tamil audience. She has acted in some Malayalam telefilms including Thanalmarangalkku Thanalayi.
