Star Tiger, Star Ariel is the fourth studio album from the English Indie band Delays. The album was released on Monday 21 June 2010.
History
In March 2010 an announcement was made on the Delays official website that the new album would be released in June 2010. The group had reunited with producer Duncan Lewis who had worked with the band on their debut album Faded Seaside Glamour.
Background
Compared to previous album Everything's The Rush, "Star Tiger, Star Ariel" is a lot more stripped back. According to lead singer Greg Gilbert, the album was inspired by the quartet's trips to the New Forest District at night. The album title refers to two planes that disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle in 1948 and 1949.
Critical reception
The album was greeted with mixed reactions. The NME gave the album 5/10, while Pitchfork Media gave the album a 5.7[1]
