Stealing Sheep are an electropop band from Liverpool, England, who formed in 2010. The three members are Rebecca Hawley (vocals and synthesisers), Emily Lansley (vocals, keyboards, electric guitar and bass guitar) and Lucy Mercer (vocals, drum machines, percussion and acoustic drum kit).[1]
The band released The Mountain Dogs and I Am the Rain both in 2011. Those were collected on Noah and the Paper Moon in 2012. The debut studio album Into the Diamond Sun was released in 2012 by Heavenly Recordings.[2] The album received "generally favourable" reviews.[3]
The band's second album, Not Real, was released on 13 April 2015[4] to "generally favourable" reviews.[5]
The band's influences include The Knife, Kraftwerk, Talking Heads, Moondog, Gary Numan, Daft Punk and Can.[6]
