Stuart Kettlewell (born 4 June 1984 in Glasgow), is a Scottish football player, currently playing for Scottish Highland Football League club Brora Rangers. He is a midfielder, who has previously played for Queen's Park, Clyde and Ross County.
Career
Kettlewell began his career with Queen's Park. He made 182 appearances for the Spiders in all competitions, scoring 11 goals, and held the captain's armband from 2006 until he left the club.
Clyde
He became Clyde's first summer signing of 2008, when he joined the Broadwood side on 19 May.[1] He made his Clyde debut in July 2008, in a 2–0 victory over Annan Athletic in the Scottish Challenge Cup.[2] He was appointed team captain before the game.[3] Kettlewell's contract was terminated in June 2009, following Clyde's relegation and financial troubles.[4]
Ross County
On 11 June 2009, Kettlewell signed for Ross County.[5] He made his debut on 8 August 2009, in a 2–1 win against Airdrie United. In May 2013, Kettlewell signed a new contract at Ross County after the club had finished fifth in their first season in the SPL.[6] He had an operation to cure a hip injury just before his contract expired at the end of the 2013–14 season.[7] Ross County allowed him to remain with the club while Kettlewell completed his rehabilitation, but he was then released in August 2014.[7]
Brora Rangers
On 2 May 2015, Kettlewell scored the winner in a 4–2 penalty shootout victory after a 2–2 aggregate draw, as Highland League champions Brora Rangers defeated Lowland League champions Edinburgh City in a play-off for the right to compete against Scottish League Two bottom club Montrose in another play-off for membership of the Scottish Professional Football League.[8]
