Supta Padangustasana I
Supta Padangustasana I is an Asana. It is translated as Reclined (Hand to) Big Toe Pose I from Sanskrit.[1][2]
The name of this pose comes from "supta" meaning "reclined", "pada" meaning "leg" or "foot", "angusta" meaning "big toe", and "asana" meaning "posture" or "seat".[1]
Benefits and Cautions
This pose offers many benefits: stretches the calves, hamstrings, and hips, and stimulates the internal organs by increasing the blood flow to the torso. It also helps relieve menstrual discomfort, sciatica, and backache.
